We are excited to have the following speakers confirmed to present at this year's meeting:

International Speakers 

Valerie Beral, University of Oxford
Valerie is the Director of the Cancer Epidemiology Unit at the University of Oxford. She is well known for her research into the role of reproductive, hormonal and infectious agents in cancer.

Jos Verbeek, Finnish Institute of Occupational Health
Jos is the Coordinating Editor of the Cochrane Occupational Safety and Health Review Group and is based at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.

 

Ian Prior Oration Speaker 

Michael Philip Alpers, John Curtin University
Michael Alpers is John Curtin Distinguished Professor of International Health at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia and a Senior Scientist of the Medical Research Council Prion Unit at University College London.

 

National Speakers

Carol Bower, Centre for Child Research
Carol Bower is the senior Princpal Research Fellow in the Divison of Population Sciences at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research and Clinical Professor in the Centre for Child Health Research at the University of Western Australia.

Vera Morgan, University of Western Australia
Vera A. Morgan is Head of the Neuropsychiatric Epidemiology Research Unit in the School of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences at The University of Western Australia and Operational Epidemiologist at its Centre for Clinical Research in Neuropsychiatry.

James Ward, University of NSW
James Ward is a passionate expert in the area of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health in Australia with over 15 years experience working within communities, ranging from urban to very remote. He is a descendant of the Nurrunga and Pitjantajarra clans of Central and South Australia.

Pre-Conference Workshops
Three different pre-conference workshops to be presented by Prof D'Arcy Holman and Ann McKenzie have been planned for Monday 19th September 2011. These workshops have limited spaces so register nor to reserve your place.
