The Perth Epidemiology Group (PEG) is the Western Australian Chapter of the AEA and was formed in late 2000.

PEG's role is to encourage professional development and networking among epidemiologists, public health professionals and students in Western Australia. Anyone can join and participate in PEG, and you don’t have to be an AEA member to do so.

PEGnet, our email-based information distribution channel, is a useful means of keeping PEG members informed about various activities and seminars in the local region. To join PEGnet go to http://maillists.uwa.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/pegnet and follow the links to subscribe.

Our activities include the PEG Seminar Series (held monthly) and the PEG Annual Scientific Meeting in which people can share their epidemiological experiences in a relaxed setting with plenty of time to spend talking, eating, drinking and enjoying the surroundings.

Anyone interested in participating in PEG activities please contact our convenors Cema or Kingsley.

PEG 2013 Annual Scientific Meeting

UPDATE 22/4/2013

On behalf of the Perth Epidemiology Group (PEG) it is our pleasure to invite you to the PEG Annual Scientific Meeting to be held in Perth on 19 July 2013 at Sandalford Wines estate, Swan Valley.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Merging Qualitative and Quantitative Research', focusing on the principles of integration of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The conference aims to bring together more than 100 local and national professionals, including researchers, practitioners, policy analysts, educators, and students to discuss the the concepts and techniques for countless possibilities available for mixed methods research.

The conference will provide a balanced scientific programme to enable participants to meet their professional development requirements, and keep up-to-date with emerging issues and new developments. The conference will serve as a venue to network and to share research and experiments designed to advance our understanding of the topic.

The venue chosen to host the meeting is Sandalford Wines, located at the original property on the banks of the Swan River and just 25 minutes' drive from the city. Sandalford Wines is a world class venue and offers outstanding facilities and a perfect setting with class and elegance to stage the conference.

We look forward to meeting you there.
